Letting Go Poem by Laila Gabanes

Late at night still awake and lonely
No one to talk and I feel so empty
Can't control the tears and pain
Hurting inside, feeling insane

She needs space, she needs time
She needs to leave me, forever not mine
I wanted to stop her, begging her to stay
And she walks out the door, leaving me in pain

I can't get you out of my mind
I can't get you out of my system
I wish that my heart be numb forever;
And be strong and tough as ever

God knows how much I love you,
All i ever wanted was what's best for you,
If letting go of you will make you happy
Then I'm telling you, now you're free

I must know now how to move on..
