It's well and truly over
There is no more i can do
No point trying to resurrect it
His feelings were not true

It's not as dark as it seems though
The river is pure and flowing
The sun still shines on me
My true colours glowing

Yes there is pain and loss
But also a hint of something new
Plenty of opportunities beckon
No more time for feeling blue

Accepting what has happened
And letting it finally rest
Will allow for new beginnings
To find me at my best
