Letting You Go
i like to see you go
like a dove from
the hands of
the happy bride
i like to see you
go like a red balloon
still with a string
from my fingers
i like to see you go
like sunset
slowly dissolving
dissipating
its warm glow
in a dark horizon
by the sea
i like to see you go
with a smile in your face
like my open hand
that waves
goodbye and then
closing slowly
gripping
your presence.
