Lewis Poem by Lisa Matthews

Lewis

I was so down and out
Everything I had was in doubt
They took me, they broke me
They tore out my heart
They had torn me apart
I've spent my life hiding
I've had trouble confiding
You stuck by me
even when I pushed you out
You never complained
you just stood by
Even when I was a little high
A friend is rare and hard to find
Everyone knows it's true
You helped me through a very bad time
I'll always be grateful to you
