Lewistopia Poem by Ranieri Dante Janousek

Lewistopia

"The monstrous is simply stunning"
Is that how it goes?
Or does it remind you of another tune?
To me, it sounds like "do ya? "

Do you wanna dance?
Some of the easiest things are also
Hard and unwieldy and awkward

I confess

Somebody once told me
I lacked poetry
They are not wrong
But I'm crashing. So,
While my lady lacks rhyme
And my lines lack metric
And my life lacks deviation
Here I am. In Threes.

Bartering my figure
and trying.
Gods, trying is tiresome
Because I'm set in my ways
If I said I will die before eating another mushroom
Then damn right I will
All the while aiming for the opposite.

Tch.
Still southbound
Still sixteen and six feet tall
Still singing:

"If you wait long enough, even a monster on the other side of the door
becomes
normal"
