Title: Autumn Sentiments

I search and search, I seek and seek;
O! It's all so cold, cold, lonely, lonely,
Piteous, piteous, sadly, sadly,
And grievous, grievous!

When it's sometimes warm and sometimes cold,
Of your health it's then hard to keep hold.
Two or three cups of weak wine
Are no match for the harsh winds at night!
When the wild geese again are passing
Over me this way in flight,
(The loss of my husband)I'm still mourning.
Sadly, I know them from yesterday.

On the ground, fallen mums are all scattered around;
Depressed, I'm feeling down.
None is there that I can pick.
Leaning by the window alone,
When will it ever get dark?

In deep Autumn, leaves on my phoenix tree a-fading,
Also, light rain is falling:
Pitter-patter, drop by drop, pitter-patter -
Until it is Evening.
In this stressful situation,
How may the word "Sorrow" be sufficient
To express my Grief?

三盃兩盞淡酒，怎敵他晚來風急！雁過也，正傷心，卻是舊時相識。
　　
滿地黃花堆積。憔悴損，如今有誰堪摘？
守著窗兒，獨自怎生得黑。梧桐更兼細雨，到黃昏，點點滴滴。

這次第，怎一個愁字了得！
