Liars Don't Make Great Speeches Poem by Hebert Logerie

Liars Don't Make Great Speeches

Lies don't fly
Nothing is eternal
A cake is not a real meat pie
Life can be infernal
In history, there existed one big liar
That shall remain nameless
I could rhyme using his prowess
In his head, he was a divine ruler
Who could use and misuse his power
His fiery speeches were beyond belief
His charisma was like a myth
Power is ephemeral, like water
Knowledge and power evaporate
Lies don't stick. Lies disintegrate
Liars make sesquipedalian speeches
With no substance attached like leeches
That suck muck, mock rock and die
In vain, where no friends or relatives cry.

Liars don't make great speeches
Of course, there is always an exception
To the rules. Ignore bad spirits and witches
That habitually select one lousy option
To deceive or fool uneducated listeners
With no apparent training and common sense
Be aware of sneaky perpetrators and traitors
Who are well disguised in a beautiful sentence
Words matter. Lies will never fly
They simply spray germs on the pie
But the truths are good words
That defy evils and deadly swords.
