Lies Poem by cassie damon

Said he loved me
Now he don’t
Told me he’d always be by my side
Well he lied
Promised he'd help raise our kids
Guess not
I told him that he was all I wanted
I would stay by his side
My reward for loyalty
Having to defend myself against his lies
All of it was a lie it must have been
All I ever wanted was him
And all I ever got were lies
Was any of it true?
I have to stay strong
Can’t let his lies tear me down
