Lie and canard

It is blatant lie and canard
No one is allowed to say a word
Especially for a saint and father of nation
How can such lies be spread for no reason

A lie can not become truth
Thousands of tales can not prove
A father of nation may always live in our heart
We were given new light for our path to start

How a nation can build good reputation?
Can meet aspirations of millions and live unto their expectations
We need not show to progressive world about we did
They have their own ax to grind

A legendary figure and respected world over
He needs no mention or special cover
The sun and its image can not be tarnished
They will stand high even if whole world is finished

Let historians search in relevant context
It should not be based to malign in the text
In other countries it might have created bloodshed
At home we are fully aware and properly fed

Such books should not find even mention
It does great harm and spoils the relation
Modern world does not allow spread of hatred
When people are staving for the want of bread

Let us play constructive and true role for humanism
It has no place for gossips and criticism
The national sentiments should never be hurt
It is as good as throwing the mud
