Lies & Secrets Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Lies & Secrets

I thought I was enough for you.
You told me you were only mine.
But there was something different
about your touch this time.

You stay up late at night
You think I don't know about them.
You could never be faithful
Who knows how many others you've let in.

The worst part about this
is knowing I wasn't worth the truth.
No way can I win this
Because I am still losing you.

But I gave you too many chances
I'm not giving you any more tries.
I know you've done me wrong this time
When you can't even look me in the eyes.

you betrayed our love
How could you ever let it get this deep?
Our love cannot make a home
where your lies and secrets sleep.
