Hurtful Place Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Hurtful Place

Rating: 5.0

Doesn't it bother you
that you make me feel so low.
You keep pushing me to the edge
and I'm about ready to let go
Your words of constant heartache
they play in my head on repeat.
Isn't our love ironic?
It's just a war I cannot defeat.
The damage is done
and it's time to say goodbye.
The nightmare is over
as this love will finally die.
Everything changes now
as you have pushed me too far.
The only thing left is hate
I found out who you really are.
The last few seconds
are filled with disgrace,
killed by your violence.
But I'm free from this hurtful place.

When violence is in a relationship there can be no love, and the only answer is to walk away and not look back.

When you love someone in an impossible situation, and you see hurt in their eyes because of the situation, you have to leave them because you love them, and you hurt.
