I have seen many people suffer
Only to make the minority happy
I have seen the innocent behind bars
And the guilty walking happily in the streets
I have seen jobs given to non-deserving candidates
While the most qualified roam the streets
I have seen scholarships given to children of the rich
While the poor intelligent kids stay home

I have seen many people work themselves to death
But the credit given to others
I have seen the evil prosper
And the righteous suffer
I have seen people starve to death
While others have more than enough on their table

I have seen the teacher suffer
While her student lives in splendour
I have heard the youths cry for war
While the old cry from war
I have seen the anger of the rich spilling to the poor
And the poor crying wondering what they did wrong

I have heard many people being promised
But never seen the promises being fulfilled
I have seen many people love with all their hearts
But I have never seen them being loved back

Such Is life
