What If I’m Wrong Poem by simbarashe moyo

What If I’m Wrong

When a man is in love
He always looks at the positives
He knows the other side of the coin exists
But is too afraid to look at it
A question he never asks himself is,
What if I am wrong?

Some leave their jobs
And some leave their carriers
Most leave their parents
And all leave their bodies with no hearts,
For they would have given it to their beloved ones
One question he never ask themselves is,
What if I am wrong

One thing you can’t tell is what the heart caries
What if she doesn’t feel the same way?
What if she is not the right one?
What if she changes?
What if it’s just a time bomb waiting to explode
What if I am wrong

We sacrifice more than we have
And we entrust our lives to strangers
And we give more than we get
Yet we never ask ourselves one question
What if I am wrong
