Life: A Paper-Boat Poem by Bireswar Halder

Life: A Paper-Boat

Rating: 4.5

Life on earth is like a paperboat
From our birth we are to float
With the mission of meeting the ocean
Crossing many obstacles in this run.

The path is not smooth and tranquil,
But to proceed with our strong will.
Let the stormy wind hit all around,
And come billows with great sound.

Thinking an uncertainty of lifespan,
We are to sail for benevolent plan,
Forgetting all misdeeds already done
To have to smile at humans as we can.

Making this world a place for all,
To live a cheerful life and no quarrel
Eliminating all enmity and extremity
Let us spread the message of unity.
