As cruel as can be
Is life to man
It gives you a chair
Yet forces you to share
With a mightier bottom

Life is never fair
Never should the two
Appear in such close proximity
Life is not air
Free to all and sundry

You must give to get
It's the law of the land
But sometimes you give and lose
Such is life
