Life And Its Consequences Poem by Abdul Wahab

Life And Its Consequences

The way we came here
In the same way we will go
It means we lose nothing in the middle
One the great sages of the world says
I wish this turns out to be true
But after a little thought I find it totally false
The time we spend here must give us something
Otherwise the meaning of life is a great waste
Think of the good deeds we do
And ponder on the good wishes we hold
All these cannot vanish into air
Nor can the wrongs go and turn into smoke we commit
Nor can the misdeeds disappear into lapses we do
Nor can the torments fly into unknown place we inflict
Simply must not
The consequences evaporate into vapour of meaninglessness
We carry the rewards or punishments along with us
Nothingness has no meaning
No meaning ends up with nothingness
Life is misunderstood when we say life ends with death
Life has its definite purpose
In life we must gain or we must lose
It is either sin or it is either virtues.

Quite nicely you have put across the philosophy of karma which makes everything we do - good or bad- in life count. As such, Nothingness has no meaning. Thanks. Think of the good deeds we do All these cannot vanish into air We carry the rewards or punishments along with us
