Life And Pawn Poem by Quadri Jr Ayuba

Life And Pawn

My life needs not much of a miracle
My life needs just a little redemption
I'm lost in the light of darkness
But I trust in the strength of myself
I'm hot in the freezing thought of my sadness,
But,
I'm a kind man
I sing for the birds
when they need a comforter
I show the fish how to swim
and never get caught in the fisher's net
We're all in the brink of madness
And life is a game of chess
For both the good and the heartless
I'm a pawn with just a single lane
But occasionally,
I cross my path to fall knights
If I don't get caught up
Only pawns can be queen
when the time is right.
