Life Doesn't Wait Poem by Lacie Hebert

Life Doesn't Wait

Life doesn't wait for broken hearts,
Or pause when everything falls apart.
It keeps on turning, day by day,
No matter who has gone away.

The sun still climbs above the trees,
The rivers still run to the seas.
The stars still shine beyond the night, Unconcerned with wrong or right.

And though it seems unfair somehow,
The world keeps moving anyhow.
But maybe that's the gift we get—
A chance to heal, a chance to forget.

A chance to rise, to start anew,
And find a different point of view.
Because life doesn't wait for pain to cease.
It teaches pain to live with peace.
