Life Is Beautiful Poem by Justin Tanabe

Life Is Beautiful

Life is beautiful
Bask in its sunshine, rainbows
and morning mist.
There is beauty everywhere
such as the fawn emerging from
a doe’s womb
Or the cluster of stars
in the night sky.
Or the elderly pair of lovers
holding hands.
Life is beautiful
If you see past
the suffering, carnage and death
Like the dualities of winter
cold temperatures
in a wonderland of snow angels.

Justin, I enjoy reading your poems because they are reader-friendly and filled with emotion. They let people see into your mind and learn what kind of person you are. Your poems say good things about you Justin. I finished my poem about Terry Fox and it is now in my collection. It is titled Run Terry, Run. I am reasonably pleased with it but it didn't turn out to be my best work - oh well. We can't win them all. You are right, though, he is a Canadian hero. I didn't realize before I read up on him that he ran almost a marathon every day. He averaged over 23 miles a day. That's unbelievable - especially because he was an amputee. I just found out about this poemhunter site over a week ago and I am so happy that I can communicate for a change with people of the same interest. Regards Lone Dog
