Life is of heat and cold
Growing tow folded ways
Something to give and fold
Learning of many days
The rivers of moving deep
Finding the flowing stream
Longings for love to keep
Something that doesn't seem

Life is like a morning glow
Red when it comes up
Footsteps in winter's snow
Black strong coffee in a cup
The wind in the garden trees
Whispering a softly tone
Moods that the mind frees
When feelings are alone

Life is both you and me
The whole thing in between
Everything eyes can see
What we've done and been
Turning our wheels both ways
Reaching the high and low
Colors and the many grays
That makes us come and go
