Life Is Good, Isn't It? Poem by Phil Soar

Life Is Good, Isn't It?

These days there is a need for some relief
There's too much sadness, pain and all this grief
So we all need to do something that's mad
And not reflect on things that are so sad

So when you wake tomorrow, shout hooray
Tell the world you've got something to say
Stand out in the street and show your belly
Don't sit inside and watch the flipping telly

Freak your neighbour out by shouting "boo"!
When they don't know what you're about to do
Hide in your recycling bin, and then
Jump out, to scare the weekly garbage men

If we could all just pass the time of day
By doing something silly anyway
And letting others know life's really good
Well that's okay, I think we really should
