Life Is Good (Song Lyric) Poem by John Carter Brown

Life Is Good (Song Lyric)

LIFE IS GOOD

Let me out of the country,
let me take me a friend
and we'll send you a postcard,
with 'all our love' on the end
then we'll laze in the season,
maybe swim in the sea
and we'll talk in the moonlight
just you and me.

Life is good, why don't we spread it around
like we should, it's a beautiful sound.

If the world should come calling
we'll retreat to the house,
and we'll light us a fire
be as quiet as a mouse,
then we'll talk of the daytime
maybe plan for the morn,
giving in to the evening
being glad we were born.

Life is good, why don't we spread it around
like we should, it's a beautiful sound.

I believe in the universe
it's a song I accept,
and I know that life promises
should always be kept,
I love every moment
that's been given to me,
and if you will take it
then here is the key,

Life is good, why don't we spread it around
like we should, it's a beautiful sound.

Life is good, why don't we spread it around
like we should, it's a beautiful sound.
