Life Is Like A Trial - Poem by Happy Hippie Girl

Day by day, hour by hour, people are judged for how they dress, walk, talk, or stand. What is wrong with this world today? None of the kids have respect for anything! I am not saying that I am perfect, but at least I don’t mouth off to my parents and call them by their first name! Gothic people are very underestimated these days. People think that because they are gothic they don’t have social skills, and or wear color. Well think again, because I am one of those many gothic people in this world; just because we wear black everyday doesn’t mean that we’re non-sociable. People need to learn not to judge by the person’s appearance, take the time to know the person, you may be surprised.

This goes for everybody, not just gothic people!

Personally, I never judged goths and have never known people who do, but this is good! I understand how it is to be judged and put into a category by the way you look/talk, etc. A 10 =) (Report) Reply

I couldn't agree more. It's visionary, and yet, it's common sense isn't it? You just don't judge a book by its cover. It's not right. I also absolutely hate stereotypes, especially about goth or emo people. Kids can just be so wrong sometimes. (Report) Reply
