Life is no prison
If you have a reason
to live.
It may be so tiny
As loving the lilies
and cliffs.
It may be a noble
As saving the globe
from grief.
Or it may be simple
As helping the people
in need.
It may be momentous
As finding medicine
for AIDS.
Or it may be plain
As winning a game
of chess.
It may be fictitious,
It well may be vicious,
or neat.
Still life is no prison
If you have the reason
for it.
