Life Is Sweet But Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Life Is Sweet But

Life is sweet but

Loves life and is stuck
on windshield of my car
moves Jet-like at stops
wants to rest safe and calm
settle in "HOME" as called.

Poor being is a pawn
in the game of the sun
showing up in day and
absent, lost is nighttime.

Hey insect with six legs
where are you?
What happened?
Did you too join the rest?
Are you robbed or beaten with train?
Are killed, avalanched with insults?

Tell me of your brain, antennas!
What went on in your mind?
Tiny legs can you talk?

Immigrant, I feel you and feel rats
I feel cows and horses, also cats
yes dogs too, Africa and Blacks…

They all are immigrants
they came with dirty white
forced, trapped or in chain
brutal invaders brought them.

They came in ship or barge.
