Life Long Struggle Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Life Long Struggle

Life long struggle

Sometimes i just wanna curl up into a ball
I have tried my best to understand people
The more i seek their empathy the more disappointment
Perhaps it's a good thing we are going digital
Where judgement will be based on merit
Human beings are so conceited its disgusting

Never trust a human to be fair and impartial
Human judgement is based on defective experience
Prejudices based on where, what, who, which and when
Never based on performance, although the powers that be profess justice
Perhaps a system based on artificial intelligence is better
But even the programme code can be written biased

So there is no hope for us humans
Sometimes i just feel like curling up into a foetal position
Retire from human frailty and imposition
Or go away to the forest and re-invent

A life based on fairness
A life based on performance
A life based on meritocracy
A life based on democracy

There i shall be fair to myself
There i shall work hard for myself
There i shall get rewards for myself
There it will be one man one vote for myself

Watch them coming to disturb my peace
Watch them from my land they want a piece
Watch them from my harvest they want to fleece
Watch them from my livestock they want my sheep

I guess the best is not to give up yet
I guess there's no point closing the gate
I guess i must just curl my fingers into a ball
I guess i have to keep fighting till the system falls

There is no time to snuggle
In this here life long struggle

Yes life is full of injustice. Injustice when sister was served food first. Injustice when i was not promoted. Injustice when life stole my life from me leaving me devastated. Injustice when other son in mere money game. St every step we often face one or other injustice but that doesn't mean justice is on off. There is s superior God venegence is his part. He never misses his part. And no one can escape his eyes. Yes we can get grace under his eyes.

Indeed there is no time to snuggle because greed has consumed the heart of man.
