Life Reflection Poem by Holly Jamestone

Life Reflection

If I could live my life again
I'd walk within these shoes
Whose tattered soles are lessons
And a knowledge I now use

I'd travel down the roads I've been
Repeating every frame
I must confess the life I'd choose
Would surely be the same

I'd want those now most dear to me
Forever in my heart
Forgetting all uncertain times
Where we were far apart

I'd emphasize the smiles and hugs
And cherish all we knew
Revisiting the memories
Of all that we've been through

I'd choose the man I love today
My daughter and our friends
Our families, our destiny
As ‘99 now ends

I'd strive with pure conviction
For a special inner peace
For all those needing solitude
As decades slowly cease

I'd greet the New Millennium
So brightly filled with hope
And pray for those who in this life
Are struggling to cope

I'd thank God for the little things
His special gift of love
Of lessons learned, of joyful times
Through guidance from above

If I could live my life again
I'd look until I see
In wonder and amazement
All the things which make us free

I'd travel down the roads I've been
Repeating every frame
I must confess the life I'd choose
Would surely be the same
