Life's Lovely Poem by akshaya shah

Life's Lovely

Rating: 5.0

What do I want
When the day ends in a whisper-
What do I seek when the world goes silent?
They say I am crazy -
Aye, that I be.
There’s me that goes around on a high,
A warm bed, n something more
And then there’s the money too -
The money…ah, now that’s good
Good enough to get me luxury
The drive must be great, it has to be,
There isn’t much I want,
Life aint that bad, They say -
Aye, that be true;
I got Them around, na?
But the warm bed ain’t comforting
There’s too much empty space
Out there, and then some more
The money’s got …what?
And the drive back is lonely
Oh, what I won’t do for him
Him that left, before all this
Not for all this, sure
Him that I remember…
Then again, don’t really do -
It hurts
The soul, seared by the thought
But They come again
They remain, as always
'Coz they won’t leave
They have nothing to gain
They don’t give away pain;
We are here, They say;
Get up, 'coz the drive back is lonely
But it’s lovely
Life’s lovely
Without Him?
Yeah, without Him!
It still is.
