Life - The Lesson For This Particular Thing Poem by Paul Warren

Life - The Lesson For This Particular Thing

When was it that our innocence ended
And it was lost after exposed to things unintended
I used to be able to see pure innocence there
But now I wonder what is in store for me later to bare

For surely it can't last and the dark will return
As the world is harder and I need to learn
Whatever the lesson is for this particular thing
And in my mind will return and loudly ring.
