I dreamt a dream
Not so long ago
The heavens, on earth
They cast a shadow
The true right of being
The wise men forgot
Light of the unknown
These blind men sought
The mother who bore
Was plundered and sold
To want and greed
Her children she lost
A thousand lands
A million gods
In the darkness they live
Divided and drowned
I dare dream a dream
Of a brighter morrow
Of brothers uniting
Lifting the shadow
Not a blind man's faith
Not a saviour angel
A mother's embrace
A surrender to the other
Heavens shall descend
Truth's light shall guide
Breathe life to all souls, again
I dream this dream tonight
