Lifted Up Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Lifted Up

To all living in the deep valley,
There is hope that your soul be restored,
When you call out to the Able Master
And believe in Him and His Word!

He guides the foxes, their holes to find,
While teaching the birds to make nests.
The flowers are dressed in such splendor,
And in Him all creation does rest!

So what is man that he should think
The Creator would ever have time
To spend thinking of our sorrows,
And all failures both yours and mine?

He made each of us in His image.
Gives us all this world to enjoy.
He plants knowledge of His existence.
In the hearts of each girl and boy!

He gives us strength for our journey,
As He does for all creatures I'm sure.
Of foxes and birds, and all life forms,
He loves each of us so much more!

In the valleys of life there flow rivers
With fish and cool waters to sup.
As refreshment and resting are finished,
Lift your arms to then be "Lifted Up! "
