Lifted Up By Angels Poem by Suzanne Andersson

Lifted Up By Angels

It was 10; 10 pm on another
Thursday night in the Valley
Met with my group for a lovely chat
Deb took me to the servo for some fuel
I came back and as I was walking in
I felt my book of poems and notebook
Fall out of my bag: even though
The flap was closed over it all
Like someone reached in and
Pulled out; first the one
And then the other and casually
Dropped them onto the ground!
I just looked around and asked
'Who would you like me to give them to? '
I knew I needed to pass them on to
Someone inside the building
So as I went inside I had one ready
And passed on my dear Lord's
Precious words to another soul
In return for a welcome hug!
