Lights Poem by Quinn James

Lights

Rating: 5.0

Flashing lights -
the stars dance through the treetops
- encircle me
As the lake throws back their image,
Planes blink red in the sky
And then again
On water
Masquerading as fireflies.
In the distance
Someone's porch light glares
Too awestruck for words to form
Silence best appreciates nature's art.
