Like A North Wind Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Like A North Wind

I can fight the whole world
And I can fight people beyond my world
But I can't fight my own people
They are like organs of my body and soul
Not axillary branches showing traces of cleavage
That incision be undertaken
Without allowance
For recompense
And sentiment of cordiality
And sentiment of gratefulness
They are my own people but
Who love and ignore
And who love and conspire
And who love and betray
And who love and ditch
Following them blind like a north wind
And end up in being a pawn in their hand
Is like a death blow to my little garden
Where flowers dream of butterflies
Birds dream of sunshine
And sun dreams of resting a while
And Endymion dreamt of by Selene
And I dream of my little life
