Like You Used To - Poem by Nicole Holloway

It seems like we've faded apart; slowly
Since the last time we spoke
You don't seem as happy
Like you used to be

I was never good with words
So forgive me if this comes out all wrong
But I
Miss you

Silly as it may sound
Though we see eachother everyday
You don't smile
Like you used to

It's like a different person has come out of your shell
Talking with your voice
Seeing with your eyes
But it's just not you

Memories of the past
Sure, they're gone
and we'll make new ones
But not like we used to

Please for my sake
Be happy longer like you used to
Laugh louder like you used to
Smile bigger like you used to

Silly as it may sound
Though we see eachother everyday
I really miss you

Very Poignant, I felt I'd been there! Regards, Lucy (Report) Reply
