A Rose Poem by Nicole Holloway

A Rose

Rating: 5.0

I see the you as you are
A rose
Captivating beauty
Your looks excite me
Though I am no fool
For every rose has thorns
And your thorns caress my skin
Trickling maroon down my legs
Until I parish
But your stunning face keeps me staring
Soaking up every lie you whisper to me
Every glance you throw at me
I'm stunned with envy
But I see the thorns beyond the bud
I see the pain and torture you bring upon me
But I can't put you down
you beautiful rose
For I am in love with your beauty
And I can't let you go
