Lilith Poem by Stefanie Fontker

Lilith

She would not bow,
Nor lie beneath you.
And so you named her,
With a title too sore.

Adam's first wife, eh. Now synonymous with free women's speech & a music festival. But you are only too correct in bowing to her. Check out Nabokov's poem b the same title if you can find it. I can't. I lost the book 'Poems & Problems' in which it appears. Stunning.

Mix up, there. I lost the book 'Poems & Problems' in which it appeared. Very stunning creation.

Short and sweet, and to the point. Good write.
