Line Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Line

Rating: 5.0

The line challenged me.
It did everyday.
It told me which side to be on,
And which side to not.

The line told me which way to swing the tennis racket.
The line straighten out the wheels on the car.
It gave us direction.
Otherwise, we would have none.

One day, my line spoke to me,
Asking if I wanted to walk the straight path.
What this line was asking me,
I did not see.

Days later, I told the line,
My instructor in life,
That I would walk down the straight path,
Only if I had a bit of fun along the way,
In my cheery day.
