Lips And Iranians Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Lips And Iranians

Lips and Iranians

I am an Iranian and
By that I mean Iranian Plateau
No border, no boundary and no racism
Jut the descendants of the same historical past
(We are wise to accept unity; no to divide)

So I have visited, lived with and have read
As much as possible…as much.
And realized:
When the virginity of innocence is taken
Refugees and criminals are created
Because neither one was born
From that comes resistance
And shout and terror.

But
Sewing the lips
Is a first sign
Read the
History
News

And this is very much Iranian
Farrokhi Yazdi was one
Iranian refugees in
News are six.

'I reveal what you are doing to me, '
Is behind those sewed lips.
