Listen - Poem by Nur'ayn (new reign)

Listen, tap into my senses and listen
Discard your ears to hear my thoughts
Search my truthful eyes for utmost sincerity
And get the answers to every question you've been asking.
Listen to my breaths and my weakened heartbeats
Listen to the secrets I've been hiding under my freezing feet.

Feel my angry skin and the heat it emits
Listen to my trembling hands and tell if my pulse is rising
My tongue can lie, so ask my other body parts
Tickle my sides and observe how my body sparks
Look into my smiles and detect the faults in my heart
Break through the sheath concealing my troubled mind

Listen keenly to the needy me
Who calls not for the help it obviously needs
Read me like a tragicomedy novel
But read not the prologue written by my tongue
So full of deceit about what really lies within
But the chapters therein will tell you the true story

Listen to me when I refuse to speak
Be the saviour I need from the me beneath my skin
Tell my ears what they need to recharge my wits
When I refuse to let you see that I'm torn into bits
Listen, not every word will my tongue speak
And when it speaks, listen not only to its speech.
