I love you
As one must love another
But how dare you say,
'I love you too'
No emotion,
no love
or even a heart-felt goodbye
Only meaningless words
Thrown into the sky

I loved you
As one must love another
How do you show me you love me?
Change my mind!
Hug me
and
kiss me
and
When you've a place to be
Hold me tight
and
say you want to stay by me.
Warm me
When I'm cold
Aid me
When I'm ill
Tell me I'm beautiful
Even at my worst
Only then
May you tell me you love me

Yet, you never do this
Nor will you ever
And
Because of the way
you treat me
It makes it hard
To love you
But my heart
tells me otherwise
And always will
So to my heart
I must be true
I love you
