Listen lord
Listen to the cries of my heart lord
And turn not your face away from me
Listen to the wrenching cries of my soul
And hear me out oh lord
Listen to the despair as it eats me away
And don't shut me out
Listen oh lord to the pleas of my humbled spirit
And help me hold steadfast
Listen to the pain and weary in me
And give me comfort and peace
Lord, listen to the prayers of my mouth
And grant me that which I need
Listen to the wishes of my heart
And help me to be content with my reality
Listen to the churnings of my soul
And help me find the closure I so desperately need
Listen to my voice of the past
And help me find my future
Listen to my voice of regret
And help me find my confidence
Listen to the uncertainty in my heart
And help me find reassurance
Listen to the confusion in my head
And help me find some direction
Lord look not away from my face
And see the pain and sadness in each wrinkle as I smile
And give me joy
Help me to accept that which I can't understand and
Find contentment for the things that I can't change
But All am really asking for is that you hear me out……
