Listen, Listen To What I Say Poem by Randy McClave

Listen, Listen To What I Say

Listen, listen
He calls himself a Christian,
He says he follows and adheres to Christianity
Through all suffering and pain and insanity.
Jesus Christ he proclaims is his teacher
As taught by his preacher,
He goes to every revival
And he constantly reads and professes the Holy bible.
I too am a follower of Christ
For my sins and salvation the Lord paid the price,
The Bible I also read
And every word by our Lord Jesus I heed.

Listen, listen again
He enjoys to tell all that they sin,
If they don't support his beliefs or candidate
He then tells then hell is their final fate.
He judges the left, but not the right
And he judges the black, but not the white,
And if you're a different Christian religion than he is
He will then give you a biblical quiz.
He says the Old Testament is meant for the Jews
Which of course we share the same views,
And the New Testament is meant for us
We Gentiles who follow the Lord Jesus.

Listen, listen to what I say
For everyone I listen to and I pray,
He calls others witches and sinners and this and that
He says going to hell is every single democrat.
Jesus taught and told us to always forgive
Also to help and love and in forgiveness live,
He said to love strangers as we love him
Not in hate or sin or with bedlam.
He judges and spreads false rumors every day
He believe and supports what Jesus never did say,
Then he tells everyone that he is a true Christian
Listen, listen.
