I bought this Barrel Cactus
Many years ago
From our property in Montana
Then time just seemed to flow.
It bloomed the first few years
As it nestled amongst its friends
Then I sort of forgot about it
No more blooms, it seemed to blend.
But yesterday Randy asked me
If I had seen the blooms that appeared
I dashed to the greenhouse to see
The cactus so sweet, so dear.
Because it was simply beautiful
And I had to make a fuss
When I saw the blooms covering
Our little barrel cactus.
