Little daughter came to me
With white dress and looked really fairy
“Papa, my wings seem so weak”
I watched her and in silence could not speak
Her wings were not really meant to
Take her in the high sky to prove
That she is exception to mankind
“She has will power to blow with wind”
“Mom, I want to become collector”
I will study sincerely and even more
I would love to see no beggar in street
And even if seen, I shall offer food and greet
She was speaking non stop on her birthday
I was watching her grow everyday
She was such nice and lovely child
But alas! Later on I was to prove blind
I knew very well that her wings will be clipped
Many more restrictions on movement will be imposed
She will be denied many things as she had dreamed
I just slipped in future memory and felt ashamed
Yes girl child pose little problem
Each parent want them grow sans trouble
I wanted her to grow as freely as possible
But certain worries made me crippled
It is basic mentality
Not of poor quality
But certainly the concern of each parent
Who try to be around each moment and remain present
Salute to you Vijaya Sarathi Putcha33 minutes ago Wow. As usual. You have expressed very great.
I loved it! Kenji Z7 minutes ago Now I dont have any children of my own, but I have nieces and nephews. Watching them grow, you step in and correct the wrongs but in the end some mistakes have to be made in order to for them to grow and learn as their own. I dont mean to offend any parents, its just my take on it. Loved how your words painted a beautiful yet grim picture. Such is life. Comment +1
