Little Dung Beetle Poem by Juan Olivarez

Little Dung Beetle

Little dung beetle, hard at work,
Rolling little balls around.
From your daily labors you never shirk,
Rolling balls upon the ground.

You don't need water, you don't need food,
Dung balls are all you need.
To fill your belly, and raise your brood,
You are a special breed.

Keep rolling those little grassy balls,
Don't ever change your ways.
Your'e always there when dinner falls,
Rolling dung balls all your days.
