Little Fan Poem by Edwina Reizer

Little Fan

I bought myself a little fan
and placed it next to my bed.
I didn't buy it to keep me cool.
I bought it to clear my head.

White noise in my ears
sends me off to sleep
filling my ears with emptiness
so I don't hear a peep.

I need at least six hours
with nothing to think about.
That little fan helps me
except when the power goes out.
