Little Girl Poem by Jenn Duck

Little Girl

Rating: 5.0

The little girl
clings tight to her
teddy bear.

She hears the
screaming && yelling.
the fighting wont stop.

She wants to go
& help her mommy,
but she's not allowed
out of her room.
cuz then her daddy
would turn on her.

A few tense minutes
fade away, and she
hears a shot.
then the front door
slams.

In terror, she slides
out of bed, opens
her door, & walks
to the living room.

she sees her mommy
in a puddle of blood
on the floor.

she runs to the kitchen
& grabs the phone.
then she dials the number
she knows all too well
