Little Grey Cells Poem by Quinn Graw

Little Grey Cells

As we exercise the body
how often are our mind exercises shoddy?
Those little grey brain cells
where our existence dwells
as the soul of our intellect
where all life data does collect
how do we feed the mind?
are we always spiritually blind?
instead of always mindless video games
open the geology world of groundwater
volcanoes and soon earthquakes
will make the gray cells quiver and shake.
Meteorology and writing come next
maybe de-learn the language of texts.
Keep the brain sharp
sudoku and crossword puzzles do help.
learn away different things
toss out the garbage
empty the recycle bin of the brain.
Be productive and kind
lay off too much of the dandelion wine.

Little grey cells
pay attention to what goes in
the life of show and tell.
Live and learn
that time and groundwater
non-renewable resources
be preciously and carefully spent
in borrowing and lending
once gone you can never borrow on lend again.
