Little Miss Harper Avery Poem by Linda Barnes

Little Miss Harper Avery

As the sun came up
We waited for you
Time passed slowly
For Mommy to hold you

How blessed we are
Even before you arrived
Not knowing for sure
If you were a baby girl

Now, here you are
Blessing us with your love
Chubby cheeks and brown hair
You brighten our days

A temperament that fits
Your Mommy's to a tee
Demanding the attention
Of everyone you see

You are so easily entertained
Your precious coos and giggles
When we speak to you
Our joy is beyond measures

Just being with you
Melts my heart into
Reminds me of your Mommy
